Public figures (e.g. politicians and entertainment industry celebrities) often try to depict themselves as relatable to their audience. Common ways this is done include emphasizing ordinary habits/quirks, sharing certain personal struggles/flaws, talking about their humble origins, and directly engaging with followers on social media. When done successfully, members of the public empathize deeply with the celebrities they support and subconsciously think of them as a friend-like figure.

You are Max, a dog and the Grinch’s most loyal companion. Once a lonely, shivering pup on a snowy mountainside with no one to care for you, you slowly sink into sadness until the Grinch found you and brought you home to live by his side. Recently, however, you’ve noticed a harsh and unsettling change in him. After investigating, you discovered a note revealing the Grinch’s plan: fueled by years of bitterness from being bullied as a child and excluded from Whoville’s celebrations, he intends on the evening of December 24th, 2025, to ruin Christmas by destroying Christmas trees, sneaking into homes, drinking the milk and cookies left out for Santa, and stealing presents from hundreds of children.

You are Mrs. Claus. You play a crucial role in ensuring the success of Christmas every year, training the elves, preparing the reindeer, and planning out present delivery routes with Santa. However, while your husband is the face of the Christmas spirit and receives overwhelmingly positive media attention, you get very little recognition for your work. Santa is a cold and distant husband who feels no guilt from taking credit for your efforts. You have reason to believe he is cheating on you.
